Has a medium size menu. Good choices. Needs more choices for people with allergies. Service a little slow. But myself and my friend's were in no particular hurry.

The bar is now coming under new management, which promises to be much better than the previous owners. Opening date given as 29th July 2023. Offering drinks, food and some evenings there will be entertainment. Further edit to follow after above date. Giving preliminary 5 stars from what I already know about the new owners, photographs to follow.
One week later and so far I'm delighted with the bar and restaurant, choice of two different size breakfasts, well cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. The bar has been redecorated and is very appealing. A vast improvement which promises a bright future. Edit: The bar, shop and restaurant is shut two days a week, limited opening hours but I will make a note and edit this review when I have done this. The bar is currently for sale again.

My husband and I were hosting a group of Motorhomes at the nearby campsite when some of the group decided to request a Sunday lunch. I booked for 12 and we all had a delicious Sunday toast. All the food was beautifully presented, generous portions and delicious. Everyone was very complimentary about every aspect of the meal. We even had a good laugh with the young waitress (daughter of the manager) who really added to the enjoyment of the event!

Great ambience, always. This was another time eating on a Sunday.
I definitely noticed my family's food was presented differently to the family we were dining with. Especially the dessert!!!. The other family's child had ice cream beautifully presented, and my child's ice cream came out looking like its been played with. It was noticed. Then I ordered the same dessert as someone else and clearly saw differences.
Which was sad. It felt personal, but I did not say anything.
