Repetiremos.!!!
Muchas gracias , esperamos verles pronto .
Nice safe and secure compound, with CCTV. You can only book 24hrs at a time, but that's not really an issue. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are Nice clean facilities, the ones for people staying in motorhomes are locked, with a key code for access. There are others, that are permanently open for users of the marina. There is a dive shop in the compound that sells snacks, beers and a few other bits and pieces. The guy that runs it, speaks excellent English. It's about a 10 minute walk to town. There are buses with stops nearby.
We appreciate your comments and hope to see you again on your next trip.
A practical campsite for exploring A Coruña. The location is great — only about a 10-minute walk to the city center, with nice paths nearby for running. However, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was disappointing. We stayed for five nights, and the same hair was lying around the entire time, so it clearly wasn’t cleaned regularly. In addition, check-in on Sunday was quite chaotic and could be better organized.
We stayed 5 nights at the Marina motorhome site while taking a Spanish course in the city. Originally, we wanted to give 3 stars, but the unreasonable late check-out fee (see below) made us lower it to 2.
Positive points:
• The site exists and is open even in the off-season — which is great, because there are barely any alternatives if you want or need to stay in A Coruña at this time of year.
• Very good location: easy walking distance to the city center and a nice starting point for a run along the water.
• Pet friendly.
• Staff is friendly.
Negative points:
• Poor overall organization of the site.
• A sign at the entrance says check-in from 12:30, but the office only opens at 3 PM.
• Price in early November: €29 per night (for a van and two people, electricity included). Acceptable, but still quite high for off-season Spain and for what you get. But yeah, it‘s in the city, so more or less reasonable.
• Facilities are okay but old. Showers and toilets are cleaned regularly, but visible long-term wear and some mold.
• You can’t pay for multiple nights in advance — payment must be done day by day, which is very annoying.
• WiFi is extremely poor.
• The marina area is open to the public 24/7, so people constantly walk through (mostly restaurant guests or sailing students). We felt safe, but if you don’t like people walking close to your van, this place isn’t for you. We didn’t stay over a weekend, so we can’t judge potential restaurant noise. During weekdays it was mostly quiet.
• Fresh water and grey/black water disposal are available, not great but functional. Trash bins are located on the opposite side of the marina.
• After spending almost €150 for 5 nights, we asked if we could check out at 1 PM instead of 12 (because of our last Spanish class). They wanted to charge us €15 extra for just one hour later — absolutely unacceptable and a real shame.
Conclusion:
The site does its job if you need a place to stay in A Coruña, especially off-season. However, it’s overpriced, poorly managed, and the extra fee policy is ridiculous. Wouldn’t return unless there’s no alternative.
