A hidden gem in the valley!! We found this place on search for sites and cannot believe how much of a lucky find this was. It’s a free site with a lovely bar/restaurant adjacent. Essentially it’s a car park, but a beautiful one at that!! The car park is full of ancient olive trees that give you good privacy. There were no more than one or two other campers with us, so we practically had the area to ourselves. It’s super clean and there are rubbish bins and picnic tables available for use. There’s one access road which you can barely see, and is fairly quiet throughout the day. We heard nothing at night. We were in a roof tent, so we’re particularly sensitive to sound and we were amazed how quiet it was. And the mountains surrounding … wow!! We went for a lovely walk along the paved route, and for those more adventurous, can hike or cycle up and down the mountain side. There’s kilometres of paved routes through the mountains suitable for everyone. And don’t get us started on the old monastery turned bar/restaurant - super quiet and amazing food!! There’s a wonderful breakfast menu between 6 and 8 euros, which gives you a freshly made sandwich and two drinks. The choice of meat is varied, fresh, and very well cooked. We cannot recommend this spot enough!!
