This campsite is on a glider aerodrome with very little else around. We arrived in the evening without a booking. Reception at this time was a bar which had a working mans club feel to it. A lady appeared annoyed to have to book us in. I was charged 29 euro for one adult one child and one VW camper with electric. There was only one other guest so we had our choice of the pitches, all were relatively flat and grass with no shade which was not a problem at this time of year. The facilities are in a hangar and I would guess have not been updated since the 80's. Washing up sinks were old and appeared to have never been cleaned. There is a standard domestic washing machine that appears to be free to use. The showers are dated but have good pressure and hot water. The toilets were unclean, most were out of order and one I used was not fastened down. There is wifi but I was not told the password and there is no welcome leaflet, the woman had long gone when I realised. When I spoke to someone in the morning about it she said, "Did you ask for the password?" I could not find a tap stating drinking water and when I asked about this she said there is no drinking water in this area, she has to buy water for her house and so would I. Just prior to leaving I looked but could not find anywhere for black waste however I did not ask re this.
In summary this site is over priced and in desperate need of modernisation. It was nice to watch some gliders take off in the morning but I am struggling to say anything more positive.
