It's all about drinking culture at the front on the strip, it's best avoided if that's not your thing, drunks everywhere even at 11am in the morning. Stayed at Camping Vilasol in the van which was perfect, about 15 mins walk from the beach but far enough away from the noise. There are some beautiful parts to the town and an 'experience' you should take in once.

Not the best experience
stayed one nite and left
halfway through shower water got cut off. Tried to find another block two had closed ended up washing soap off with outside tap. Swimming pool closed 26 euros not worth it reception just shrugged better off camping free on the street down the road.

It's the best place to be from September until November
Weather in mid twenty clean beaches.
Cheap food and drink .
Never seen any trouble in the bars.
People from all ages just enjoying themselves

I could give a 1 star review but that's because I was pickpocketed but I wouldn't let that detract from the time I enjoyed whilst here.
1 piece of advice would be instead of going to the main police station to report something it is easier to go to the information center close to where the hotel for the TV show Benidorm is filmed.
