This aire is another great find for us and anyone into hiking and/or mountain biking.

The Aire is shared with HGVs as they park here at night and leave early in the morning. The wood factories can be noisy during the working day but quite during the night.

The parking for motorhomes are marked in blue. The spaces parallel to the wall doesn't get sun until about 12 in the day because of the high wall and trees.
The 4 marked out spaces in the carpark are actually too narrow for 4 motorhomes to park beside each other although this is where we parked for the solar. But it was very quiet while we were here.

There is a brand new motorhome parking area on the road to the swimming pool if you want peace and quiet.

The carpark is pretty level but we had to use our chocks for our shower drain.

There is shade parallel to the wall and trees. The other spaces have no shade which is great for solar.

Pros:
Free parking.
Free full services including ehu.
Local small supermarkets and bars.
Hiking trails.
Mountain biking trails.
Good phone 5g signal.

Cons:
One tap for freshwater and cassette cleaning.

The free services against the council building and beside the bike maintenance/wash station.

The grey drain has ok flow direction into the grate depending where your motorhome drain pipe is located.

The black WC drain marked in blue is on ground level just in front of the service pillar. There is no cover just a large open pipe.
The cassette cleaning tap is actually the freshwater tap. The marked cassette cleaning push button tap is not working.

The freshwater 3/4 turn tap with a screw-on connection that doesn't take any connector and we have them all. There was a connector on the tap when we arrived but someone took it with them. We had to use a rubber connector (seen in picture) to use the tap. The tap had good pressure.

There is a large bin beside the services.

We had 3 excellent hikes here in the hills above the town.
A 15km loop passing Mirador de Cabeza Alta which is a must visit.
A 11km Loop to Castroviejo passing a waterfall which also is a must visit. It is possible to drive up here.
A nice walk along the river on one bank and back the other side.

We had a nice menu del dia and drinks after the hikes in Bar La Huerta.

There are 2 small supermarkets in the town and a bakery for bread.

Bugs/Mosquitoes. (They love us..)
There were no mosquitoes or biters here at the beginning of April although it was cold at night.

Muchas gracias al ayuntamiento por tener un área así gratuita. Ojalá se diesen cuenta muchos ayuntamientos de tener áreas así aporta mucho en el pueblo, estuvimos cenando en el bar la huerta y todo genial.

Perfecto. Mis felicitaciones al alcalde de Duruelo que ha hecho esta pedazo área de autocaravanas con agua, herramientas para arreglar cualquier imprevisto con la bici y seguir tu camino. Genial también para dormir y de paso visitar el pueblo.

Siempre que estoy por la zona voy, visitó el pueblo de nuevo y hago gasto en las tiendas y tomamos algo en el bar.

Lugar sensacional para usarlo como pernocta, pero muchos autocaravanistas, abusan sacando mesas y sillas, creyendo que es un camping, en especial el fin de semana del 15/08/2025. Para remate, las camper pequeñas, que no disponen de baño, lo usan como un sitio magnífico, para asearse en el exterior, junto a la zona de vaciado y llenado, al final conseguiran cerrarlo y que nos consideren a todos por igual, lo estamos ganando a pulso, gracias al vive y deja vivir!

Gracias al ayuntamiento por hacernos la vida más fácil a los que viajamos en autocaravana. El área, pese a estar en la carretera enfrente de una fábrica, es tranquila y está todo muy limpio. Los servicios, de diez🥰
